At what age can I get a tattoo?

You must be 18 years of age or over to have a tattoo done in Northern Ireland.  Proof of identification will be required.

How can I prepare for my tattoo session?

Looking after your body on the weeks and days leading up to your appointment will ensure you get the best possible results from your tattoo session.  You can also prepare by reading up on aftercare (see above) and making sure you don't have any plans that may inhibit healing in the weeks following your appointment.

You can look after your skin by avoiding sun exposure, drinking plenty of water and moisturising daily (this is particularly recommended for people with dry skin, scars, stretch marks and/or cellulite).

Before your appointment, please avoid excessive consumption of inflammatories and blood thinners such as alcohol and caffeine.   If you arrive with a bruise, sunburn, or recently acquired wound in the area intended to be tattooed, it is unlikely we will be able to proceed with the tattoo in that area until the wound has fully healed.

How much does a tattoo with you cost?

Consultations are free of charge and come with no obligation to proceed with a tattoo booking.

A £50 non-refundable booking fee will be charged when booking your tattoo appointment, this will be deducted from the overall price of your tattoo if you attend your appointment.

The following figures are intended as guide prices only.  The cost will depend on size, placement and level of detail.  Please enquire about the cost of your tattoo before booking.

How can I check if a tattoo might cause an allergic reaction?

Will I see my tattoo design before I arrive to my appointment?

Design/s are shown when you arrive to your tattoo appointment, with time allocated for design review and any small adjustments on the day.

Contra-indications, Health Conditions & Medication :  Can I still get tattooed?

Having a tattoo done can temporarily lower your immune response.  Always contact your doctor for approval if you have an existing health condition.

Some common factors which may affect your healing and the long term appearance of a tattoo include but are not limited to ; skin conditions such as acne, eczema and psoriasis, use of blood thinning medications and use of antibiotics or topical anaesthetics.  You should not be tattooed if you are pregnant or breast feeding, have an immunosuppressive disease, blood clotting disorder or an active flare-up of a chronic skin condition.  Tattooing over scarred skin will require a skin assessment before booking - depending on the type and severity of scarring it can be recommended to wait anywhere between 1 & 6 years before tattooing.
